Server stats

Member-count and boost-count channels (stat channels) at the top of your sidebar, kept up to date.

Server stats are locked voice channels named like Total Members | 120. Righteous keeps the number current as people join, leave and boost. The slash form is /statchannels.

Create the counter channels

,serverstats setup needs Administrator. It makes a category called 【📊 Server Stats 📊】, moves it to the top, and adds the counters you ask for. Everyone is denied Connect, so they're display only.

Syntax

,serverstats setup <all|total|boost>

Example

,serverstats setup all
TypeCreates
all
Total Members, Humans, Bots and Boosts
total
Total Members, Humans and Bots
boost
Boosts only

The names are fixed: Total Members | N, Humans | N, Bots | N, Boosts | N. Running setup again only fills in what's missing, so it also repairs a counter someone deleted.

Use a channel you already have

,serverstats set points one slot at a channel that already exists. It needs Administrator. The counters must be voice channels and category must be a category.

Syntax

,serverstats set <category|total|humans|bots|boosts> <channel>

Example

,serverstats set total #member-count

The bot renames that channel to Total Members | N (or the matching label). If Discord won't let the rename through yet, the slot is still saved and the reply says so.

Refresh the counts now

,serverstats update (Administrator) repaints the counters.

Syntax

,serverstats update

Counts also refresh when someone joins, leaves or boosts. Refreshes run at most once every 10 minutes per server, and a run inside that window is skipped. update counts as a run too: right after a join it can skip and still reply "Successfully updated". It's also skipped while Antiraid is armed.

Delete the counters

`remove` deletes the channels themselves

It deletes the category and every counter channel, including any channel you adopted with set. If #member-count was yours before, it's gone. There's no confirmation and no undo. Run setup afterwards for fresh counters.

,serverstats remove (Administrator) deletes the category and the counter channels, then clears them from the settings.

Syntax

,serverstats remove

There's no command to keep one channel and drop it from the counters. remove deletes them all.

Use the settings panel

The Server Stats page of ,config shows each slot as set, not set or set but deleted. It has Set Up, Update, Set Channels and Remove buttons. Remove there deletes the same channels.

Common issues

A count is stale. Discord allows two renames per channel every 10 minutes, and Righteous refreshes at most once every 10 minutes. It catches up on the next join, leave or boost, or run update after the window.

Set the total stat channel to ... came with a rename warning. The slot is saved but the name didn't change. Either Discord's rename limit is holding it, which sorts itself out, or the bot can't edit that channel. Give the bot Manage Channels there.

Humans and Bots don't add up to the total. Total Members comes from Discord. The split is counted from members the bot has cached, so it can be off until the cache fills.

A channel vanished. remove deleted it. Run setup to make fresh ones.

Server stats are already set up. Every counter you asked for exists. If one is missing and nothing was created, the bot may lack Manage Channels.
