Righteous

History sync

Copy your whole scrobble history into Righteous to answer date questions, recap a year and export your plays.

Last.fm can't say when you played something, so Righteous copies every scrobble. Self Premium.

Sync your history

Syntax

,lastfm update history

On slash, it's /lastfm update with the history action. A big account takes a while and shows progress. If it stops, run it again: it carries on where it left off. The report shows how many scrobbles were stored against how many Last.fm has. If they don't match, run ,lastfm update resync to start fresh.

After that, the free ,lastfm update also adds new plays to your history. Turn that off on the History page of /lastfm settings panel.

Know which commands need it

These refuse without a sync (all Self Premium):

CommandAnswers
The first time you played it
Every play of it, newest first
This date in past years
Your real scrobbling rate
What rose and fell between two windows

These work without one, and a sync makes them better:

CommandA sync adds
Exact dates and the full range (Self Premium)
Your whole history, not a recent sample (any premium)
Add history for far more rows (free)
First and last played dates (free)
A real "listening since" date (free)

The footer always says which source it used.

Write a date range

WriteMeans
2024, 2024-03, 2024-03-07
A year, month or day
june, june 2023
A month by name
30d, 2w, 6m, 1y, last 90 days
Up to now
2023-01-01 to 2023-06-30
A span (.. works too)
all
Everything

Ranges use your timezone. For names that look like dates, put the range last with range:, for example ,lastfm timeline The 1975 range:2024.

Find the first and last time you played something

Name an artist, album - artist or track - artist, or leave it off to use what you're playing.

Syntax

,lastfm first <target> [person]

Example

,lastfm first juice wrld

last is the most recent play and timeline is every play in between. milestone names your Nth scrobble.

Recap a year

Syntax

,lastfm year [yyyy] [person]

Example

,lastfm year 2025

discoveries lists artists you found in a window; gaps lists ones you stopped playing. movers compares two windows: ,lastfm movers 2025 is 2025 against 2024, and from:2024 to:2025 (prefix only) picks both. Add artists, albums or tracks.

Download your scrobbles

Your own history as a CSV, one row per play. You can't export someone else's. If the file would be too big for Discord, it tells you the row count so you can ask for a smaller range.

Syntax

,lastfm export [range]

Example

,lastfm export 2024

Delete your synced history

Deletes the synced history but keeps your account linked:

Syntax

,lastfm update purge confirm

To unlink and delete everything, see Start over or unlink.

Common issues

"No synced history yet." Run ,lastfm update history first.

The sync stopped part way. Run it again. It resumes.

Fewer scrobbles stored than Last.fm reports. Run ,lastfm update resync.

A range command answered for all time. It found no synced history, and says so.

A milestone or pace answer is missing. Some answers wait until the sync finishes, so they can't name the wrong track.
