Rank cards and level-ups
Style the rank card and choose how Righteous announces level-ups.
Change how the rank card looks and what the level-up message says. Leveling itself, reward roles and imports are in Leveling.
Style the rank card
A member's style follows them to every server. Server Premium can set a default for everyone.
| What | Who |
|---|---|
See your style and a preview ( ,levels card) | Everyone |
Own colors and background image | Self Premium |
Remove your image, or reset your style | Everyone |
Server default colors | Server Premium + Manage Server |
Hide members' images in your server | Manage Server |
,levels card color colors the bar, ring (around the avatar) or background with a hex code, a preset name, default, or pfp to follow your avatar (your own card only).
Syntax
,levels card color <bar|ring|background> <#hex|preset|pfp|default>
Example
,levels card color bar blurple
,levels card image sets a PNG, JPG or GIF background, up to 8 MB (no WebP; a GIF uses its first frame).
Syntax
,levels card image <attach an image>
,levels card image remove and ,levels card reset are free. If Self Premium lapses, your saved style stays but stops showing.
Syntax
,levels card server color <bar|ring|background> <#hex|preset|default>
Example
,levels card server color ring gold
,levels card server color sets the colors used when a member hasn't picked their own (theirs win). card server reset clears them, and card server images off hides member images in your server. If Server Premium lapses, the server colors stop showing.
Announce level-ups
,levels messagemode chooses where: current channel, a fixed channel, a dm, or off. messagemode silent skips the ping.
Syntax
,levels messagemode <current|channel|dm|off> [#channel]
Example
,levels messagemode channel #level-ups
,levels embeds sets the message. embeds view previews it, embeds help lists its tokens, embeds reset restores the built-in level-up. ++delete removes the announcement after 30s, 5m or 1h (up to an hour, or off; a bare number is refused). It must be last on the line, only applies to current and channel mode, and a restart mid-countdown leaves that message up.
Syntax
,levels embeds <code> [++delete <duration|off>]
Example
,levels embeds {color: #fb4868}$p{author: {user} && {user.avatar}}$p{description: {user.mention} just reached **Level {level}** in {guild.name}, {xp.into} / {xp.needed} XP toward level {level.next}.}$p{thumbnail: {user.avatar}}$p{footer: {rank}} ++delete 1mbegging.
@jason just reached Level 6 in Righteous, 1,234 / 5,050 XP toward level 7.

{level},{level.next},{xp.into},{xp.needed},{xp.total},{rank}and{reward}work only here. Anywhere else they post their bare name (xp.into). General tokens like{user}and{guild.name}work.{channel.name}and{channel.id}can't be saved: use{guild.name}.{rank}and{reward}are blank when there's nothing to show. A token alone in its tag removes the tag ({footer: {rank}}vanishes,{footer: Rank {rank}}leaves "Rank"). A{field:}stays as an empty box.- Put
{reward}in a description, field value or{content:}. In a footer or author line it shows raw<@&…>text. - The ping comes from the announcement replying to the member's message, so
channelmode pings nobody. Add{content: {user.mention}}for a visible one.
The preview won't catch a misspelled token
embeds view uses invented numbers (level 5, rank #1 of 1). A code that renders to nothing is refused, but {xp.inot} posts the word xp.inot and saves happily. Read the preview.
Common issues
My card style stopped showing. Self Premium (or, for server colors, Server Premium) lapsed. The saved style isn't lost.
The level-up shows a word like xp.into. A token is misspelled, or it's used outside ,levels embeds. Check it against ,levels embeds help.
Nobody gets pinged on a level-up. channel mode pings nobody. Add {content: {user.mention}}.
More fixes are on the shared common issues page.
