Rotation account and privacy
Link your Rotation account, keep private lists private, rate songs, use /tierlist in DMs and choose what others can see.
Everything about your own Rotation account: linking it, ratings and who can see what. For posting and comparing lists, see Tier lists (Rotation).
Link your account
/tierlist link replies privately (the prefix form DMs you) with
a Link Rotation button. Sign in to Rotation with Spotify or Last.fm, press Connect Discord, and approve.
Run the command again to check: a linked account answers with your handle. One Discord account links to one
Rotation account.
/tierlist unlink asks you to confirm first and leaves your
Rotation account and lists untouched.
Keep private lists private
You can post your own private list (the footer says Private, with no link). Others can't retrieve your
private list, through user, an ID or autocomplete. With no title, you get your newest public list.
/tierlist profile and
/tierlist recent are summaries, so a public reply shows what
others see. Use public:false for your full view. Prefix replies are always public.
Rate a song
Syntax
/tierlist rate <rating> [song] [scale] [public]
Example
/tierlist rate rating:4.5 song:lucid dreams
/tierlist rate saves a rating to your Rotation account, the
only thing Righteous ever changes there, and only after you press Confirm. Use stars (4.5) or out of ten
(8/10) in half steps, or clear to remove it. Leave song empty to rate what you're playing on Last.fm. On
the prefix: ,tierlist rate Lucid Dreams - Juice WRLD 4.5.

Lucid Dreams
Juice WRLD · Goodbye & Good Riddance
★★★★½ 4.5/5
Is this the right song? Confirm to save, or Cancel.
Rotation · nothing is saved until you confirm
Only you can press the buttons, and it times out after a minute without saving. Your first rating for an album starts a new rating list, and that list is private until you make it public on Rotation.
Ratings need the song to be on Spotify. A local file or unknown song saves nothing; pick it from the song box.
/lastfm tierlist rate rates what you're playing, and your
Last.fm card can carry a Rate button.
Use it in DMs and other servers
Add Righteous to your own account (Add to My Apps on its profile) to use /tierlist in DMs and servers
Righteous isn't in. That needs Self Premium, even in a DM with the bot. /tierlist server still needs a
server Righteous is in. See premium.
Choose what others can see
Set this on your Rotation profile, not in Discord.
| Setting | Choices |
|---|---|
Tier lists | All, Featured (pinned only) or Hidden (also keeps you out of server rankings) |
Listening stats | Full, Limited (no play counts or now playing) or Hidden |
Listening stats are hidden until you turn them on. A public list opened by its direct link stays visible whatever you set.
Common issues
"Link your Rotation account first." You haven't linked, or a friend hasn't. Run /tierlist link, wait a
minute and retry.
The site says that Discord account is linked to another account. Sign in to the other account, disconnect
Discord there (or run /tierlist unlink), then link again from the account you want.
A friend can't see my private list. By design. Make it public on Rotation, or post it yourself.
My profile looks different from the site. A public reply shows the public view, and your listening stats
stay empty until you turn them on. Use public:false.
Still stuck? See common issues.
