Live Feeds

Live Feeds announces when a Twitch or Kick channel goes live, checking every two minutes. When the stream ends, it edits that same post rather than leaving a stale "is live now" sitting in your channel — so a channel full of finished streams is not what you wake up to.

Changing anything needs Manage Server and Server Premium, but reading is free: if your Server Premium has lapsed you can still see exactly what is configured and why a channel has gone quiet. The command is ,livefeed (also ,twitchfeed or ,kickfeed), and the slash form is /feeds live.

You can have 5 live feeds per server.

Add a feed

,livefeed add #live shroud

A bare name is read as Twitch. For Kick, either name the service first or paste a link — both work:

On slash, /feeds live add asks which service with a picker, so there is nothing to remember.

Anything after the channel and the streamer becomes the feed's trailing message, posted under every announcement:

If the name does not exist on that service, the feed is refused rather than created — so a typo is caught immediately instead of becoming a feed that never posts.

What a post looks like

The card carries the stream's title, its category, the viewer count and a preview image, and links to the channel. Three styles:

The two toggles

offline — edit the post when the stream ends. On by default.

With it on, the original announcement is rewritten when the stream finishes: how long it ran, the peak viewer count, the category. Turn it off and the post stays exactly as it was posted.

updates — edit the post when the title or category changes mid-stream. Off by default.

This edits the existing card rather than posting again, so a streamer who retitles three times does not produce four announcements. It is off by default because most servers do not want the card changing under them.

Neither toggle ever re-pings. Discord notifies again on an edit that introduces a mention, so every edit deliberately suppresses the ping — only the original going-live post pings.

Pinging a role

message sets the trailing text and the ping together. A role that is later deleted is dropped silently rather than posting a dead mention.

Posting under the streamer's name

By default the bot posts as itself. webhook changes that:

source posts under the streamer's own name and avatar. custom lets you set both yourself with name and avatar. Turning it back off stays available even if Server Premium lapses.

Checking it works without waiting

,livefeed test #live shroud

test posts the feed's current state into its channel right now, rendered exactly as the feed would render it — live or offline. The ping is suppressed and nothing is saved, so it is safe to run as often as you like. A feed that has not posted yet is otherwise indistinguishable from a broken one, which is what this is for.

Why a feed went quiet

Three different reasons, and ,livefeed list tells you which:

• Paused — somebody ran ,livefeed pause. ,livefeed resume brings it back.
• Broken — the account no longer exists, or the bot cannot post in the channel any more. Fix the cause, then ,livefeed retry.
• Server Premium lapsed — nothing is polled while it is lapsed. Resubscribing resumes every feed with nothing to clear; your configuration is kept.

A streamer simply not streaming is none of these. A quiet account is never treated as a fault, so a feed will not break just because someone has not gone live for a month.

/feeds panel opens a management panel covering every feed type, including this one, with buttons for everything above. The panel is the easier surface if you are setting several up at once.
