Instagram reposts
Turn an Instagram reel, video or carousel link into a card with the media attached, the caption and the counts: what's supported, what isn't, and how to turn it off.
Paste an Instagram reel, video or carousel link and Righteous turns it into a proper repost: the media downloaded and attached directly to the message, styled into one card with the caption and the post's stats, instead of Discord's own preview, which is unreliable at best and often shows nothing at all. It saves people leaving the server to open Instagram, and it means a reel that Discord can't embed on its own still plays right there in chat.
Post a link
Syntax

The slash form is /links instagram, with the link and an optional delete time as its two options.
You can also just paste a link in a message that @mentions the bot, without typing a command at all. That path needs Attach Files and Embed Links for whoever posted the link, and it deletes their original message once the repost is up.
Premium members can skip the mention too
With any premium (boosting counts, and so does being in a Server Premium server), typing
righteous <link> on its own, no prefix and no @mention, does the same thing.
What the card shows
A reel or video posts as a playable video attached to the message. A carousel posts as up to 10 images. Either way the card carries the author, the caption, and the view, like and comment counts where Instagram makes them available, plus an Open on Instagram button.
What links work
Only a link to an actual post: /p/, /reel/, /reels/ or /tv/. A profile link isn't a post, so
it's refused outright rather than reposting nothing useful.
Stories and account feeds aren't supported
A Story link doesn't repost, and there's no way to have Righteous auto-post an account's new posts into a channel the way Twitter Feeds does for X. Neither is planned as a "coming soon"; if that changes, this page will say so.
When a post is gone
If the link points at a post that's been deleted, or an account that's gone private, Righteous says so and leaves your original message alone. It never reposts a dead link, and it never deletes the message that pointed at one.
Auto-delete a repost
Syntax
,instagram <link> ++delete <seconds>

Add ++delete <seconds> (up to 600, ten minutes) to have that one repost delete itself after the
wait. A server can set a default for every repost with
,config socialdelete:

Whichever is shorter, the message's own ++delete or the server's default, is the one that applies.
A member can only shorten the wait this way, never lengthen it past what the server allows.
Turn it off
,config social toggles Instagram reposting on its
own, separately from every other platform. Needs Administrator.

Leave the on/off state out and it flips. The slash form is
/config social, and the same toggle lives on the
Social Links page of the interactive panel: ,config panel or /config panel. It's on by
default, so a server that has never touched this setting has it enabled.
This only gates link reposting: pasting or ,instagram-ing a link. It doesn't touch anything else
in the server.
Reposts feed the /fyp shuffle
Every repost made through the @mention path is saved to a feed, and /fyp (also ,fyp,
,feed, ,random) pulls a random one back out — the author, the caption, the counts, and a link to
the original post.
The feed is shared across servers
/fyp is not scoped to your server. Anything reposted by mentioning the bot anywhere Righteous
is can come back out of the shuffle, and anything mentioned in your server can surface elsewhere.
Use the repost command directly (,instagram <link>) instead of the @mention if you would rather a
link stayed put.

[source] narrows it to one platform: tiktok, twitter, reddit, instagram or youtube. The
slash form adds a from: option to show only posts a particular member shared.
Only the @mention path fills the feed
Running the repost command directly — ,instagram <link>, ,tiktok <link> and so on — reposts the
link but does not add it to /fyp. Mention the bot with the link instead if you want it in the
shuffle. SoundCloud is never added, because the feed is built for video.
Common issues
I @mentioned the bot with a link and nothing happened. Check
,config social instagram first. Running ,instagram directly tells you outright
when it's off; the @mention path just stays silent instead of replying.
,instagram refuses my link. Either it isn't an Instagram post at all, or it's a profile or
Story link rather than a post. See What links work.
The bot says the post is deleted or private instead of reposting it. That's expected, not a bug. See When a post is gone.
No like, comment or view count shows on the card. Instagram doesn't always hand those numbers back. The card shows whatever it has rather than guessing at the rest.
A repost from someone else's link doesn't disappear when I expected. Compare your server's
,config socialdelete value against any ++delete on the specific ,instagram link that posted it:
the shorter of the two wins, never the longer.
